Education & Outreach
Through community outreach, North Shore Horizons offers a variety of programs for domestic and sexual violence prevention for all ages.
The Safe and Strong Program provides prevention and body protection education from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade including parent/teacher meetings to familiarize parents and teachers with concepts pertaining to child sexual abuse.
Domestic and Sexual Violence Presentations
Topics vary and can include:
- North Shore Horizons' services.
- Information on the Lake County Crisis Response Team.
- Prevention education programs in our schools.
- What is domestic violence?
- What is sexual assault?
- Training for law enforcement and probation officers regarding best practices and new laws pertaining to sexual assault and domestic violence.
